What a Scholarship Granting Organization Does
A Scholarship Granting Organization, or SGO, is a nonprofit that collects charitable contributions and uses them to fund tuition scholarships for students. Tennessee SGO is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves as the link between donors, families, and K-12 schools. Your family will apply to the SGO to receive scholarship awards. The SGO will receive and review your scholarship application, determine your family's eligibility, and make scholarship awards.
Students whose families have household income up to 300% of Area Median Income (AMI) qualify to apply.
Scholarships provide up to fully funded tuition, applied automatically to your student's account at their school.
Students must be accepted or currently enrolled with a Tennessee SGO member school to receive scholarship funding.
Quick and straightforward application process with fast approval timelines.
